Air Fryer Lemon Salmon

Updated: Mar 24, 2020

I never thought I'd be a "gadget" girl but man, oh man, I LOVE my kitchen gadgets. I pretty much have a gadget for everything...like, I literally have no counter space and no under cabinet space left! It's a problem... not for you though! Today's recipe is superrrrr easy and one of our weekly favorites.

I hate seafood. Always have, and probably always will. However...I will do anything for my babies, so when I was pregnant and breastfeeding my boys, we ate salmon usually once a week. It was HARD though. I literally used to gag while eating it. I hate the smell and fishyness of it. BUT, when I got my air fryer a few months ago, that was a major game changer! I can just pop either fresh or frozen salmon right on in and it doesnt stink my house up, and since it kind of crisps it on the outside, somehow the stink just goes away (in my opinion at least!) It's wonderful! And I love that I can just put it in the air fryer and go about cooking the rest of dinner without having to check on it or anything!

This is the Air Fryer I have. I would HIGHLY recommend getting at least a 6qt Air Fryer

Ingredients:

- Salmon (I use Wild Caught Alaskan Sockeye Salmon) frozen or fresh

- Lemon EO (or juice from a lemon)

- Pepper

Directions:

1. Preheat Air Fryer to 400 and set timer for 12 minutes (14 min if using frozen salmon)

2. Once preheated, put salmon, skin side down in air fryer basket

3. Sprinkle pepper on salmon

4. Put 3-4 drops of Lemon Essential Oil on each piece of salmon

5. Air fry for 12 minutes

That's it! The skin literally peels right off!

Enjoy!
